Epic build sir. Love the choice of gold. Not too overpowering and it really complimenta the blue-green. I always overdo my metallics and usually go too shiny or reflective.

This thing came out so well! And I bet there’s enough leftover blades to make First Tsurugi, the buster sword made from seven swords that Cloud uses in Advent Children. The blades that attach to Mace-Chan are certainly food for thought.

do you topcoat them? i always get confused if i should gloss coat or matte coat my metallic parts like claws

I’ve built the sucker and enjoyed it, but the only thing I can’t stand is the fact that the hands don’t have any strength to hold the mg or beam rifle.

Was there a guide to placing the decals? I bought some decals seperatly and i thought it would come with something and dont remember anything in the booklet seeing decals were not provided in base kit

Just got this kit on backorder from Hobbylink Japan. Mazinger Z was a big part of my wifes childhood and we want to introduce it to our kids so I've sourced the original Anime for her to watch with them for "Mummy and Me" days. The kit is going to be a surprise for her when it arrives. She doesnt build but I do, but the goal is to have a representation of his favourite anime on her desk in our office. Amazing build and as always you've inspired me to push myself as a model maker.

For the paint that you sprayed on after you painted the astek pattern, what ratio did you thin it? I'm doing this exact thing and I wanna make sure I don't screw up. Lol

I'm currently building this kit now actually. Hands down my favorite Gundam model. Did you have trouble with the leg beam saber holders? I'm dry fitting everything to make sure everything lines up well before paint incase i need to glue some seams, and the mech to slide out the armor panel to reveal the holders keeps popping out of its spot, probably going to have to glue it it place, but other than that great build
